Touch Screen With Elastic Feel Interface Is Surreal

So far there have been some really good multi-touch interactive tables which have awe-inspired design for even better ones. One such example is the amazing interactive table that has an elastic touchscreen for the user’s input and is purely based on the experience of driving an Acura. The system is designed by Third Eye Studios to show a whole new way of showing the surface projection information regarding the flow of power the car’s drive train system and the base of the interface has Corian ribs to resemble the contours of a vehicle.

Touch Screen Panels, Flexible Touch screen

To light up the Lycra scrim that emulates the pattern of water in a flowing stream an overhead projector is used which can be manipulated by pushing down on the flexible touchscreen. Now the whole system works in a very interesting way as touching the table’s surface and pushing down the nylon surface sends and receives energy on points where you touch the surface. This triggers a sound event and if you touch at multiple points; there are mixed sounds at that instance of time. Most of these sounds are from the audio signatures of Acura technology for example the navigation system or the audio system interface.
